CVMC hires Chief Therapist/Manager for Cancer Center

Trisha L. Hunt, BHS, RT(T) has been hired to join the team at Central Vermont Medical Center as the Radiation Oncology Manager at CVMC’s National Life Cancer Treatment Center.
Trisha received her Associate of Science in Radiation Therapy degree from the University of Vermont and completed her Bachelor of Health Services (BHS) degree in Health Care Administration at Florida Atlantic University. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire.
Radiation Therapists exclusively work in cancer care oncology departments. Trisha has had extensive experience as a radiation therapist and a simulation therapist at several institutions in Florida followed by six years at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where she worked most recently as Assistant Chief Radiation Therapist. Trisha also spent several years working as the clinical coordinator with radiation therapy students at UVM students and New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI`).
“The community and patients of Central Vermont will really benefit from having a cancer center locally. For patients undergoing radiation treatments, traveling to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center or Fletcher Allen Health Care can be difficult for a variety of reasons,” noted Trisha. I am very excited to be a part of this cancer center. We have all state-of-art-equipment that enables us to utilize the latest technology in Radiation Therapy. In addition, we have been able to put together a really great team of staff members. Everyone is a lot of fun to work with, but very professional, ensuring that our patients have all the resources that they need to support them and their families.”
