Elizabeth Hawkins Miller was recently appointed to the Governing Board of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. She will serve on the development and long range planning committees of the board.
Miller is founding member and managing partner of the four-attorney civil litigation firm, Spink & Miller, PLC. She received a B.A. awarded summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Los Angeles. She graduated from the Yale Law School in 1995 where she was senior editor of the Yale Law Journal. She also serves on the board of Local Motion, the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Chittenden County Bar Association, where she recently was president. She lives in Burlington.
She joins Virginia Roth of Warren and Andrea Forrest Brock of Swanton as new members of the board. "We are delighted to welcome these accomplished women," says VSO board chair Ken Squier. "Their expertise and community leadership around the state will be a great addition to the VSO board."
The VSO is governed by a 20-member board of directors, chaired by Ken Squier of Stowe, and supported by a statewide network of 91 volunteers configured into six regional boards of trustees.
