ACEDC celebrates annual meeting & announces new board members & officers

At the recent 23nd Annual Meeting of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC), keynote speaker Don Macke from the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship discussed “The Road Ahead for Rural Economic Development in Addison County”. This annual meeting was also an opportunity to thank outgoing Executive Director Robin Scheu for her 9 years of service to the organization. Attendees also welcomed incoming director Fred Kenney. The meeting was held at the Kirk Alumni Center at Middlebury College.

The following board members were unanimously elected effective January 1, 2018:

1-Year Term:  Caroline Carpenter, National Bank of Middlebury; Bill Townsend, JP Carrara & Sons/VT Industrial Parks; 1st Three Year Term:  John Kiernan, Otter Creek Engineering; Stephanie Pope, Agri-Mark. The following outgoing board members were recognized and thanked for their service:  Chris Knapp, Country Home Products/Generac, President; Sarah Cowan, National Bank of Middlebury, Treasurer; Ben Anderson-Ray, Trinitas Advisors.

At a recent Board of Directors meeting, the following new officers for the organization were selected:  President: Marie Jewett, Co-operative Insurance Companies; Vice President: Sarah Morris, Basin Harbor Club; Treasurer: Matthew Curran, Middlebury College; Secretary: Jeff Fritz, City of Vergennes; At-Large: Mark Bellinger, United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS).
