NEFCU announces one retirement, promotes three, hires one

John J Dwyer, Jr, President and CEO of New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) announced the retirement of one NEFCU senior manager, three promotions, and one new hire. John Hood, NEFCU’s Chief Lending Officer, retired in July. He joined the credit union in 2001 and held multiple positions prior to becoming Chief Lending Officer in 2010.

Greg Hahr has been promoted to succeed John Hood as Chief Lending Officer at NEFCU. During his more than 29 years of working in the Vermont mortgage industry Greg has managed all facets of lending and mortgage servicing. He joined the credit union in 2010 as the Mortgage Manager. Greg received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and holds a Certified Mortgage Professional designation from the Vermont Mortgage Bankers Association. He has participated as a member of several boards, including most recently as the President of the board of the Vermont Mortgage Bankers Association.

Patricia Weaver has been promoted to Mortgage Loan Manager at NEFCU. Patricia has worked in mortgage lending for 31 years and joined the credit union in 1999 as a Loan Officer. For the last 13 years she has been the Sales Manager at NEFCU. Her prior experience includes underwriting, staff training, and creating home buyer education classes. Patricia graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Studies

Jason Pidgeon has been promoted to Mortgage Loan Sales Supervisor. Jason has been with NEFCU for nearly 17 years in a variety of positions in the mortgage lending department and commercial lending department. Jason earned his BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and completed his AMP (Accredited Mortgage Professional) designation from the national Mortgage Bankers Association.

Colin Branon has joined NEFCU as Business Lending Manager. He has 15 years of financial industry experience, having started as a teller and worked his way up to Business Banker Vice President. His responsibilities at NEFCU will include managing business lending from originations to closings.
