Jeremy Carter joins Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC

Attorney Jeremy Carter of Milton has joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC where he will practice in the Business Law Group and work from the firm’s Burlington office. His work will include representation of early stage companies and investors making investments in early stage companies, along with general corporate representation and work on mergers and business acquisitions.

“Jeremy will add depth to an already strong group of legal professionals at DRM practicing in the areas of private equity and venture capital transactions,” said Tom Moody, chair of the Business Law Group. “Jeremy went to school in Vermont and he knows the business community well. We’re very pleased that he has chosen to join our firm, and we are very much looking forward to having him as part of our Burlington-based team.”

Carter is a magna cum laude graduate of both St. Michael’s College and Vermont Law School. He served as a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge John M. Conroy in the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont. He has experience at two other Vermont law firms and the Chittenden County Public Defenders Office as an associate, law school summer associate and intern. While a student at St. Michael’s College he received the AmeriCorps Education Award after performing more than 450 hours of volunteer community service in a single academic year.
