Wes Ward honored as Northeast Kingdom Chamber Citizen of Year

A St. Johnsbury businessman praised for his honesty and professionalism was honored as the Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce’s 44th Citizen of the Year at the organization’s annual meeting on May 21. Wesley Ward, owner of Wes Ward Auto Repair and Westward Equipment Service, was recognized for his extensive volunteer efforts with local and regional civic organizations.

Chiropractor Steven S Mustoe joins Gifford’s sports medicine team

Steven S Mustoe, DC has joined the Sports Medicine clinic at the Sharon Health Center. A board-certified chiropractor, he has practiced for the last 18 years in Brattleboro, VT and Charlottesville, VA.

Mustoe became a chiropractor because of his own experience with an injured back. “The only relief doctors could offer was through medication. When I went off drugs, the pain returned,” he said. “I eventually found a chiropractor who helped me heal. To be able to relieve someone’s pain like that is an amazing thing!”

Dave Treston joins KSV as senior account planner

KSV, the Burlington-based marketing firm, has hired Dave Treston as a senior account planner. At KSV, Treston is responsible for guiding quantitative and qualitative research and account planning efforts for many of KSV’s clients.

Treston is a senior-level strategist and account planner whose experience spans the utility, technology, retail, financial and professional services industries in both direct-to-consumer and business-to-business environments. His previous clients include AmeriGas, UnitedHealthcare, IKEA and Comcast SportsNet.

VBSR announces interim manager and ED search

The organization is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, inspired and experienced manager to fill the role and is accepting applications through June 15th. Avram Patt, former General Manager of Washington Electric Co-op, will join the VBSR team as Interim Manager starting June 1st and will oversee the hiring process for the next Executive Director as well as a portion of the organization’s day-to-day operations.

Mount Family Group hires Jill Marsano as chief financial officer

Mount Family Group, Ltd., the Burlington-based franchisee of Westaff Workforce Solutions and Remedy Intelligent Staffing, has hired Jill Marsano as its Chief Financial Officer. Marsano joined the company in March and is working at the corporate headquarters in Burlington, VT. In her new position, Marsano will be responsible for the financial management, marketing, and other business functions of the franchised business.
