Vermont Business Magazine Barred Woods LLC is pleased to announce a new line of healthy, handcrafted Maple Granola products. The granola is produced in Hardwick, VT at the Vermont Food Venture Center. The granola is made from organic oats and sweetened with Pure Vermont Maple Syrup. Two flavors are available: maple pecan with pumpkin seeds and cranberries and maple pecan with almonds and raisins. It is available in three sizes - 8 ounce, 12 ounce, and 16 ounce - and will be available is stores across New England as well as online.

The Vermont Food Venture Center's mission is to support job creation, strengthen Vermont’s value-added food businesses, create opportunities for farmers, and further integrate the agricultural economy into the community and the state of Vermont.   VFVC offers 3 state-of-the-art, shared-use commercial kitchens for rent to food entrepreneurs, farmers, community groups, and more.   Connor Gorham, Facilities Manager at VFVC says "Barred Woods Maple Products new granola is a perfect example of how the VFVC can help Vermont's entrepreneurial food manufacturing companies bring value-add products to market quickly.  In this case Barred Woods takes their own Vermont produced maple syrup and converts it to a healthy, sought after value-add product.  We're delighted to incubate their enterprise."    Barb Paggi from Barred Woods LLC adds, "The Vermont Food Venture was able to meet all of our food production needs without an issue.  By using their shared-use kitchen we were able to go from first visit to product on store shelves in less than 30 days".
