Vermont Business Magazine Blue Cottage, a new home décor and gift store, has opened in the center of Hinesburg, VT at 30 Kailey's Way off of Route 116, near the Bristol Bakery and Kinney Pharmacy. Blue Cottage offers “unique finds and one-of-a-kind designs,” featuring vintage furniture, lighting, mirrors, stained glass windows, curios and hand-crafted products from Vermont artisans.
Blue Cottage carries vintage and repurposed furniture; unique lamps, mirrors and stained glass; curios and other unique and hard-to-find items. Many of the store’s affordable, solid-wood furniture pieces have been given an updated, second life to provide functional and beautiful furnishings for any home. The store also features hand-made products from 18 Vermont artisans, including jewelry, pottery, cards, knitwear, cloth bags, woven goods, candles, and herbal personal care products.
Owner Ginny Couture says the store offers shoppers the opportunity to go on “an adult treasure hunt.” With its open floor plan and light from floor-to-ceiling windows, the store gives visitors a relaxing experience, conveying the warmth and feeling of a cottage home. “Blue Cottage features a combination of both vintage and new products representing an eclectic mix of styles and design, all made of natural materials, said Couture. “I’m also pleased to feature Vermont artisans whose work I haven’t seen elsewhere. We hope our visitors can find something unique and creative for themselves or as gifts for others.”
Blue Cottage is open Wednesday through Sunday. Find more information at bluecottage.biz or on Facebook at BlueCottageVT.
