Lamoille Housing Partnership and Butternut Mountain Farm team up for #GivingTuesday

Vermont Business Magazine Lamoille Housing Partnership (LHP) and Butternut Mountain Farm (BMF) have teamed up to celebrate #GivingTuesday, happening November 27th, 2018. BMF has pledged to support affordable housing in Lamoille County and Hardwick by matching up to $500 in donations to LHP.

“Our goal at Butternut Mountain Farm is to support local organizations that create and support a stable, prosperous and healthy community. We are pleased to partner with Lamoille Housing Partnership for this year’s #GivingTuesday. Donations will support their mission and commitment to creating and preserving affordable housing for low and moderate income residents of our community,” said Emma Martin, Butternut Mountain Farm’s owner.

Created in 2011 by the Belfer Center for Innovation and Social Impact, #GivingTuesday’s goal is to “celebrate and encourage giving,” by connecting diverse groups of individuals, communities and organizations worldwide. The hashtag campaign is facilitated on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and centers on “the power of social media and collaboration” to inspire and drive philanthropy.

“Lamoille Housing Partnership is extremely appreciative of Butternut Mountain Farm’s generous support on #GivingTuesday,” said Kerrie Lohr, Public Relations manager at LHP. “As our matching partner, Butternut Mountain Farm’s pledge effectively doubles the impact of donors’ generosity. Our work developing affordable housing in the community is largely made possible by a mix of public and private donations, and we’re very fortunate to have the support of this local business!” says Lohr.

Donations to LHP on #GivingTuesday can be submitted safely and securely via LHP’s website, or by mailing a check to PO Box 637, Morrisville, VT 05661. A donation to Lamoille Housing Partnership supports the creation and preservation of affordable housing for low and moderate income residents of Lamoille County and the Town of Hardwick – charitable gifts support local families, working Vermonters, seniors, veterans and the disabled.

Lamoille Housing Partnership develops, rehabilitates, and maintains safe, decent, energy efficient affordable housing through rental, home ownership, and other means to low and moderate income persons and families living within Lamoille County and the Town of Hardwick. Lamoille Housing Partnership provides such assistance without discrimination or prejudice, using a combination of private and public funding partnerships. Lamoille Housing Partnership is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
