Heineberg Community Senior Center Announces Walk of Ages Fundraiser and Community Resource Event
The Heineberg Community Senior Center introduces Walk of Ages Fundraiser and Community Resource Event to help reduce isolation and support positive, active aging throughout the greater Burlington community. The event will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Burlington High School. Check-in begins at 12:30pm with the Walk kicking off at 1:00pm. All proceeds from Walk of Ages will go to the many free and discounted programs and services Heineberg Community Senior Center offers all individuals 50+.
Walk of Ages will include entertainment and music through the ages as participants have fun walking around Burlington High School’s track, or supporting walkers from the cheering section. Everyone of all ages is invited to participate in the event. To register or donate, visit walkofagesvt.org or the Heineberg Center at 14 Heineberg Road in Burlington. Registration is free before May 21st, and $10 the day of Walk. All walkers raising $100 in donations will receive a free event t-shirt.
“This is the first year of what we hope becomes a special tradition for our community,” shares Beth Hammond, Executive Director, Heineberg Community Senior Center. “We introduced Walk of Ages not only to raise vital funds for our Center, but to promote and celebrate healthy active living for residents of all ages."
