Fram named Radiation Oncologist at Cancer Center
Daniel K. Fram, M.D. was named Radiation Oncologist at Central Vermont Medical Center’s new National Life Cancer Treatment Center. Dr. Fram is also affiliated with Department of Radiation Oncology at Fletcher Allen Health Care.
“I feel privileged to be participating in the opening of a new community cancer treatment center,” said Fram. “The most interesting and fulfilling times in my career in radiation oncology have been at community hospitals. My parents and I are all UVM Alumni, so I am pleased to be ‘back home.’”
Dr. Fram received his B.A. in Economics at Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania and his M.D. at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine. Dr. Fram did a Transitional Internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at
The University of California San Francisco Medical Center.
Dr. Fram has had several faculty appointments during his career including The University of Hawaii, Cancer Research Center, John A. Burns School of Medicine and most recently as Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia where he worked for fifteen years. He is currently Assistant Professor of Radiology, University of Vermont, College of Medicine, and for the past year has been practicing at FAHC.
Dr. Fram received an Honorable Discharge from Active Duty in the US Army, Medical Corps with the rank of Major, in 1993. He has had extensive experience in radiation oncology. He was Director, Department of Radiation Oncology and Medical Director for the CyberKnife Center at Capital Health System, a member or the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Network, in Trenton, New Jersey. At the same time he was Cancer Liaison Physician (American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer) and Cancer Committee Chairman. In 2008 Dr. Fram was honored by the Commission on Cancer receiving their Cancer Liaison Physician Outstanding Performance Award.

Dr. Fram lives in Stowe with his wife Betsy. Their son Stuart is a freshman at Middlebury College and their daughter Lauren is a senior at the University of Chicago. In his free time, Dr. Fram likes to hike, mountain bike and downhill ski. He was a ski instructor at Aspen Highlands many years ago.

The Vermont Natural Resources Council has announced the promotion of Kim Greenwood to the position of Water Program Co-Director.
Greenwood has served as VNRC’s staff scientist for four years. Before coming to VNRC she spent six years at the Agency of Natural Resources as a Water Quality Engineer.
Greenwood holds a bachelor's degree in aquatic resources from University of Vermont and an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering from Vermont Technical College. She is active in many community forums and boards including the Vermont River Conservancy.Ledyard National Bank is pleased to announce that Mary E.
