Peter J. McDougall elected to board at CCS
Peter J. McDougall of Paul Frank + Collins has been elected as the President of the Board of Directors of Champlain Community Services, Inc. (“CCS”). CCS is a United Way member agency that has provided support to people with developmental disabilities throughout northern Vermont for over 40 years. The mission of CCS is to help individuals with developmental disabilities experience all of life's opportunities by enhancing self-esteem, maximizing independence and enabling community membership. CCS offers one-to-one employment, residential, school-transition, and social supports to adults and children with developmental disabilities.
Mr. McDougall is a member of the Captive Insurance and Corporate law teams at Paul Frank + Collins, with a focus on financial and business services. He has served on the CCS board for over two years and was the vice-president for the past year.

Mickenberg, Dunn, Lachs, Hazel & Smith, PLC announces that James E. Knapp has joined the law firm on an of counsel basis. Mr. Knapps professional focus has been on property, real estate, and title insurance law, as well as implementation of technology in the practice of law.
Mr. Knapp began his legal career in Vermont in 1981 as an attorney at Gravel & Shea. He remained with that firm for twenty-one years. He subsequently worked as the Vermont State Counsel for both the Stewart Title Guaranty Company and then as Vice-President of the Chicago Title Insurance Company.
Rene Paquette was recently voted 2010 Employee of the Year at Otter Creek Awnings, Sunrooms & Custom Closets of Williston, Vermont. Rene Paquette, a resident of the town of Addison, joined Otter Creek in the early days of the company in 1981 as a fabricator/installer. Since that time Rene Paquette also served as Director of Sales and Production Manager, and was promoted to his current post as company Vice President in charge of Operations.
The Fletcher Allen Health Care Board of Trustees accepted the appointments of two new trustees at their December meeting – Paul Danielson, D.M.D., an oral surgeon with Champlain Valley Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, South Burlington, and John Neuhauser, Ph.D., president, Saint Michael’s College, Colchester.
