Gail Shampnois, director of UVM’s Office of Student and Community Relations, has won the 2016 Peter Clavelle award from the city of Burlington. Mayor Miro Weinberger, along with other city officials and community partners, honored Shampnois and other award winners in the Burlington community at a “Celebrate Burlington” event held at City Hall Oct 24.

The EDGE Physical Therapy welcomes Dan Ellis, DPT, and Kelsey Higgins, ATC to their team. Dan is a graduate from The University of Vermont with his BS in Exercise and Movement Science in 2013 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. Dan treats people with a variety of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses and is accepting new patients at their Williston and Essex locations.

HomeShare Vermont is pleased to announce Janice Szabo has joined the staff as Intake and Outreach Coordinator. The position serves as initial contact for potential participants, as well as creation of outreach and marketing campaigns to recruit candidates for specific housing opportunities through community posts, newsletters, advertising, social media and information sessions.

On November 19th, the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum will induct four pioneers in Vermont's long ski and ride history into the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. The special "Schuss" celebration honoring them will be held at the Stoweflake resort in Stowe, Vt and feature a silent auction as well as tributes to the inductees.
