A veteran Missouri Catholic educator and school principal became the superintendent of Catholic schools for the Diocese of Burlington on July 1. “Catholic education is my passion,” Jeanne Gearon said. She comes to Vermont from Sacred Heart Catholic School in Valley Park, Missouri, where she was principal.

Wanda Heading-Grant, vice president for human resources, diversity and multicultural affairs at the University of Vermont, has been named one of 166 winners of the 18th annual Women Worth Watching Award by Profiles in Diversity Journal.

The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced Rhonda Shippee has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Shippee, now retired, worked at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for 37 years, serving as Community and Business Program Director of USDA Rural Development for Vermont and New Hampshire.
