BS&L’s Stephenson appointed to Community Bankers Council
Deb Stephenson, president and CEO at Brattleboro Savings & Loan, has been appointed to serve on the Community Bankers Council of the American Bankers Association.
The council, which meets twice a year, focuses on representing the interests of community banks. It is composed of approximately 100 bankers from across the country from institutions with generally less than $5 billion in assets.
Stephenson joined Brattleboro Savings & Loan in 2022. Prior to that, she served as senior executive vice president for compliance at Berkshire Bank.

Kelli Shonter, former director of philanthropy at King Street Center in Burlington, has been appointed executive director at Sail Beyond Cancer Vermont, effective May 19. The organization creates lasting memories for individuals with cancer, and their loved ones, through the therapeutic experience of sailing.
