Who is this year's most innovative Vermont company? Who is Vermont's best tech ambassador? Tell us in the inaugural Vermont Tech Jam awards.Tech Jam Awards

  • The INNOVATION AWARD will be presented to the individual or business with the most innovative new product, application of technology, or way of doing business.
  • The AMBASSADOR AWARD will be presented to an individual or business whose leadership and actions positively represent Vermont as a home for technology business, and whose efforts help put Vermont on the map as a place for technology businesses to start, succeed and grow.

Anyone can nominate Vermont companies and individuals for these awards. The deadline is Monday, September 17, at 5 p.m.

Tech Jam Details

The Vermont Tech Jam will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27, at the Champlain Mill in Winooski. Admission is FREE. Pre-registration required for exhibitors and school groups. Questions? Email us at techjam@sevendaysvt.com.

Champlain Mini Maker Faire
Saturday, September 29, Shelburne Farms: DIY makers gather to show off their glorious, über-geeky gizmos. Segway inventor Dean Kamen is the keynote speaker.

Agile Project Management Boot Camp
Monday through Wednesday, October 15-17, Keen's Crossing, Winooski: The Winooski Community Partnership and the Project Management Institute are running this project-manager certification course. A 40-percent tuition rebate is available for qualifying companies.

PMP Boot Camp
Monday through Wednesday, October 22-24, Keen's Crossing, Winooski: This is another project manager-certification course available through the Winooski Community Partnership and the Project Management Institute. A 40-percent tuition rebate is available for qualifying companies.

Hack VT
Friday and Saturday, October 19 & 20, Champlain Mill, Winooski: Teams of white-hat hackers compete for $10,000 in prizes in this second annual 24-hour hackathon. This year's goal? Build something useful for the state of Vermont.
