Tue Sep 18 2012

The Vermont Agency of Transportation has made the decision to postpone the installation of two culverts on VT Route 105 in the Town of Brighton due to expected heavy rain this week. Weather permitting, the planned closure is now scheduled to begin at 6PM, Friday, September 28, and conclude by 6AM on Monday, October 1.

The closure will start on the west side of Lake Street and extend east to near the Ferdinand Town line. According to VTrans officials work on the two projects will be conducted at the same time so as to minimize the impact on residents, local businesses and the traveling public.

Detour signs will be posted on the west side from VT Route 105 onto VT Route 114 (to Canaan) then on to VT Route 102 into the town of Bloomfield. From the east side, from VT Route 102 to Canaan on to Route 114 then onto Route 105 ( the reverse). Local traffic will be allowed access to side streets to get around the construction activities.
