Colchester company expands services throughout municipalities
Colchester VT – Thousands of municipalities around the country may be able significantly to cut employment practices liability claims as a result of an innovative new relationship developed between Vermont based HRSentry and York Risk Pooling Services, Inc. of Southfield Michigan. “York member risk pools represent over 3000 municipalities nationwide,” notes Cindy Dieck, Senior Vice President of American Risk Pooling Consultants, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of York, “and risk prevention is a key element of our work. This program is designed to aid in the prevention of employment practices liability claims against members of our pools.”
Dean Haller, President and CEO of HRSentry, said, “In 2011 alone the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) received almost 100,000 claims of illegal employment practices which resulted in monetary awards in excess of $364 million dollars. According to the EEOC, this number does not even include monetary benefits obtained through litigation.”
“During this period of ever increasing litigation coupled with severe budget cuts at federal, state, and community levels, this program may prove to be one of the key elements in helping many municipalities avoid bankruptcy” Ms. Dietz concluded.
