Union Bank announces new director and St Albans Advisory Board member
Union Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of two important community members to its Boards; Neil Van Dyke of Stowe and Daniel J. Luneau of St. Albans.
Neil Van Dyke of Stowe was elected to Union Bank’s Board of Directors on November 4th. Mr. Van Dyke is the President and General Manager of the Golden Eagle Resort. He has served the community for over thirty years with many organizations including the Stowe Area Association (Past President and current V.P. and Treas.), Mountain Rescue Association (Currently V.P.), Director of the Town of Stowe’s Emergency Management, Stowe Mountain Rescue founder and team leader, Green Mountain Club (Finance & Marketing Committee) and is currently the Vermont State V.P. for the New England Inns and Resorts Association. Mr. Van Dyke has earned the Stowe Businessperson of the Year Award, Vermont State Police Directors Award and the Vermont Innkeeper of the Year Award. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MS from SUNY Syracuse. He resides in Stowe with his wife and family.
“The Union Bank Board of Directors has been searching for an additional director from the Stowe market with both experience in hospitality and a record of community service,” stated Richard Sargent, Board Chair. “We are pleased to have Neil join our board as our newest Director.”
Daniel J. Luneau accepted the invitation to serve on Union Bank’s St. Albans advisory board in early November. Mr. Luneau is the Co-Owner of Handy Chevrolet and Handy Toyota Inc., both of St. Albans. He earned the Toyota President’s Award for exceptional sales and service operations in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. He has served on Vermont’s District 6 Environmental Commission, serving as Chair of the Commission for the past eight years. He has also served on the Northwest Regional Planning Commission, the St. Albans City Council and on the Board of Directors for Care Partners. Mr. Luneau has been an active baseball coach, and has served both BFA and the St. Albans Little League. Mr. Luneau is a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, the American Legion, VFW and the Moose. He holds an Accounting Degree from Champlain College and is a graduate of BFA St. Albans.
“Mr. Luneau joins Steven Bourgeois, Coleen Condon, Samuel Ruggiano, and Ken Gibbons on our St. Albans Advisory Board,” added Sargent. “His familiarity with the St. Albans market will be a welcome addition helping Union Bank to continue our growth in Franklin County.”
