VINS Offers Naturalist-led Canoe Trip on the Ottauquechee River
The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) invites nature lovers to celebrate early fall evenings with a canoe trip on the Lower Ottauquechee River in Quechee, VT. Join a VINS naturalist on Sunday, September 26 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. to explore the river’s wildlife and enjoy a relaxing flat-water paddle.
VINS is delighted to be working with Wilderness Trails of Quechee, VT to provide this trip as part of the Evening Canoe Series. Highlights of the Ottauquechee trip include explorations of inlets and island as well as the river’s excellent bird habitat.
The Ottauquechee River canoe trip is $45 for non-members and $43 for VINS members and includes use of Wilderness Trails canoes/kayaks, paddles and life jackets. Participants who provide their own canoes or kayaks will receive a $25 discount. Registration for this trip is requested by September 20 by calling 802-359-5000 x223.
