Vermont Investors Forum - growth companies sought for event
September 9, 2009—Burlington, VT—The Vermont Investors Forum is seeking applicants for their 17th annual event to be held at the Stoweflake resort on October 30. Each year angel and institutional investors from around the region hear from a select group of companies seeking to raise equity capital and expand their networks at VIF.
Over the years, the Forum has proven itself as one of the best ways to connect companies with capital. “The Vermont Investors Forum provided eesa with a venue to get in front of a 'who's-who' of Northern New England angel and VC investors, said past presenter Stephen Cleary. The Forum provided us not only with the capital we sought, but with the necessary leads to pitch more potential investors throughout New England and beyond. The Vermont Investors Forum is a 'must-attend' for any entrepreneur who's looking for angel or institutional investment money.”
All company applications are reviewed confidentially by the VIF Steering Committee, which then selects the companies that go on to present at the Forum. The Steering Committee is comprised of 14 volunteers that hold strong ties to the Vermont entrepreneurial and investment community. The Committee, and other members of the venture arena, will provide feedback and coaching for the selected companies throughout the entire process.
While at the Forum, presenters will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with investors, entrepreneurs and other key funders or service providers. The agenda for the Forum allows for ten live presentations of 15 minutes each, including a Q & A period.
The fee for making a presentation is $150 for two company representatives, which includes a continental breakfast, coffee breaks and a luncheon with the keynote speaker. Please note, this fee is due only after you have been notified by the Committee that your company has been selected.
If your company is interested in presenting at the Vermont Investors Forum or wanting to understand more about equity financing and whether it is a good fit for your company, please contact us at 802.658.7830 or info@VermontInvestorsForum.org.
