(Richmond, VT)—Thomas Hark, President of the Richmond Area Business Association, is pleased to announce the launch of the organization’s upcoming, three-part educational series, entitled: “Social Networking Tools for You and Your Small Business.” These programs are designed especially to help small-business professionals, interested in this fast-paced and current topic, to become more knowledgeable about various communication strategies, involving Web 2.0 technology. With everyone talking about this global topic, now is the perfect time to learn about them, locally.
The programs will be offered at the Richmond Free Library and the schedule is as follows:
Monday, October 5, 7-8:30 pm—“Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook—Oh My!” presented by Lauren-Glenn Davitian, Executive Director of CCTV Center for Media & Democracy. In this session, an overview of the building blocks of communication strategies will be presented, along with discussion about social-media tools, such as Twitter and Facebook, being used to market your products and brand.
Wednesday, October 21, 7-8:30 pm—“Websites that Sell: Secrets of Success,” presented by Greg Brand, of Bluehouse Group, Richmond. In this session, Greg will talk about the techniques for online promotional strategy, including social media. Greg will look at underperforming websites and examine some of the frequent causes and solutions.
Wednesday, November 11, 7-8:30 pm—“Understanding the Value of Online Media and Social Networks for You and Your Business: An Overview of the Changing Landscape,” presented by Steven Shepard, of Shepard Communications Group.
