Members of Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility and the public  
will gather for a networking event co-hosted by Handy Toyota and  
Vermont Clothing Company in St. Albans, VT. Attendees will hear about  
why both of these Franklin County businesses are committed to  
supporting renewable energy development in Vermont through CVPS Cow  
Power™, a program that generates electricity from cow manure. Vermont  
Clothing Company and Handy Toyota are each the first businesses of  
their kind in the country to buy 100% of their electricity from a  
manure-powered energy program. According to Jay Cummings, owner of  
Vermont Clothing Company, "Handy Toyota and Vermont Clothing Company  
share a love for Vermont’s beauty, a concern for our dairy industry  
and a desire to protect our environment."
 
VBSR members, other business people and the general public are welcome  
to attend. There is no cost. Refreshments will be provided. Pre- 
registration is appreciated.
