The Economic Potential of Creative Enterprises and Companies
Stuart Rosenfeld, Founder and Principal, Regional Technology Strategies, Inc., will address arts and culture on economic terms, as they affect regional economies. This will include defining the “creative economy,” discussing the different ways arts and culture affect the region’s economy and quality of life, and explaining why so many places are now pinning their hopes and dreams on creativity, culture, and arts. It will look particularly at the role of higher education and the support structure needed for creative people and enterprises. It will also draw on recent experiences in developing creative economies from across the US and around the world, with special emphasis on rural areas.
