Captain Richard Phillips to speak in Rutland
Rutland - The Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that this year's RRCC Annual Meeting Keynote Speaker will be Captain Richard Phillips.
Richard Phillips was the Captain of the U.S.- flagged ship Maersk Alabama hijacked in the Indian Ocean. Captain Phillips was held hostage by Somali pirates until the daring rescue by U. S. Navy Seals. President Obama said Phillips had courage "that was a model for all Americans."
The Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, November 1st at Noon at the Holiday Inn Ballroom. The cost of the luncheon is $32.50.
