BRIAN LINDNER PRESENTATION
AIR DISASTER ON CAMEL'S HUMP

WHEN: OCTOBER 16, 7:00PM
WHERE: VERMONT SKI MUSEUM

October 16th marks the 65th anniversary of Vermont's most famous air disaster.  It was on this date in 1944 that a World War Two B-24 Liberator bomber slammed into the summit of Camels Hump taking the lives of nine young airmen and leaving the sole survivor with amputation of all extremities.

Brian Lindner will tell the story of the crew, the plane, the crash and the rescue in a 90-minute presentation.  This is one of the most amazing aviation disaster stories of all time.  It has all the elements of a great movie  -  heroism, famous personalities, botched rescue attempts and a small group of Waterbury Civil Air Patrol cadets who reached the wreckage 12 hours before the military and saved the life of the one survivor.
