Sales Management Meeting for the Contemporary Furniture Group (June 19)

The Burlington Furniture Company in Burlington, Vermont will host the annual Sales Management Meeting for the Contemporary Furniture Group this June 19th – 21st at the Stowe Mountain Resort.

The Contemporary Design Group (CDG) is a national association of independent home furnishing stores specializing in modern and contemporary design. Since joining the group a little over a year and a half ago the Burlington Furniture Company has benefited immensely by being part of this prestigious networking, performance and buying group. “Being part of the CDG has enabled us to leverage the power of the group and allow us to be a leader in this category in Vermont.” Said Mark Binkhorst, President of the Burlington Furniture Company.

Contemporary furniture is in and is the fastest growing style in furniture today. “We are excited to be bringing the latest designs to Vermont while still being true to our mission statement of providing beautiful, affordable and comfortable furniture” said Chris Kelsey, Store Manager at Burlington Furniture Company for 12 years.

The Burlington Furniture Company was founded in 1984 as the Burlington Futon Company. The focus has changed from a store that specialized in futons and sold some furniture to now specializing in modern and contemporary furniture.  The 15,000 sq. ft. showroom is in an old maple syrup plant on Pine St. in Burlington, Vermont. The store is in its fourth year of double digit growth and has been voted Best Furniture Store in both 2010 and in 2011.  With continued support of the local community they hope to continue to grow and evolve.
