Meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel May 25

Vermont Public Service Department Announces the Agenda for the May 25, 2017 Meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel. 

The Public Service Department today announced the agenda for the Thursday, May 25, 2017 meeting of the Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel. The meeting will take place from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the multipurpose room at Brattleboro Area Middle School at 109 Sunny Acres in Brattleboro, VT.

Representatives from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be in attendance to take public comment on the proposed sale of Vermont Yankee, specifically the license transfer application filed by Entergy and NorthStar and NorthStar’s revised Post Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report (PSDAR).  The meeting will take place during the NRC public comment period and all comments made will be entered into the public record.  The public is encouraged to attend.

The Panel will also receive a briefing on the license transfer application and revised PSDAR from T. Michael Twomey, VP, External Affairs, Entergy and Scott E. State, Chief Executive Officer, NorthStar.
