College of St. Joseph Celebrates Founder's Day
College of St. Joseph will observe the anniversary of its founding by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Rutland, VT on Monday, March 22nd, honoring the Feast of St. Joseph. The community is invited to attend the special event beginning at 2:45 pm in the Tuttle Hall Theater on the CSJ campus.
This year, Founder’s Day will feature a video history of the College, both student and faculty service awards, and the presentation of the Pour Le Merite Award. The College of St. Joseph confers the Pour Le Merite Award on an annual basis to individuals who have contributed to their communities through exceptional volunteer service.
This year, we are pleased and honored to present this award to Jerry Munger, Rutland resident and local videographer. Jerry has volunteered his time videotaping events throughout the Rutland region for over 15 years covering over 3,000 sporting events, and ten years of years of the Really Big Show. He also created and produced the project “Meet the Sisters of St. Joseph” which was a show celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Sisters.
Following the awards ceremony, a Founders’ Day reception will be held in the student lounge in Tuttle Hall.
