Free Running Clinic - July 25

Berlin. Vt – Central Vermont Medical Center’s Rehab Services, in conjunction with Onion River Sports, will offer a Free Running Clinic for the community on Saturday, July 25 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The clinic will be held at CVMC Rehab Services, located at 1311 Barre-Montpelier Road, across from McDonald’s and next to the Vermont State Lottery offices.
The clinic will provide free video gait analysis with specific footwear recommendations by licensed CVMC physical therapists. The participating therapists have all received continuing education in this area and specialize in gait analysis. Onion River Sports will be on hand allowing the runner an opportunity to try on appropriate footwear to see if gait impairments are corrected.
“This is an excellent opportunity for a recreational or competitive athlete to receive a free video gait analysis. We will be able to analyze the runners’ gait frame by frame and offer feedback on technique and footwear suggestions,” stated Director of Rehab Services Robert Patterson, PT. “In addition, information will be provided on areas the runner can work on flexibility and strength to become more efficient and injury free.”
