College of St. Joseph 4th Annual Gala

College of St. Joseph is pleased to announce its 4th Annual Gala, “Celebrating Excellence”, on February 26, 2010 beginning at 6PM at the Holiday Inn in Rutland. Each of the past three years, CSJ has celebrated an outstanding community leader, a leader who has demonstrated a true commitment to the growth and development of our region. This year we are excited to announce the “Commitment to Excellence” award will be presented to Governor James Douglas for his dedicated service to our State, the Rutland region, and our local community.

Proceeds from the Gala will be used to support scholarships for disadvantaged Vermont foster youth participating in CSJ’s STEPS (Students Taking an Effective Path to Success) program. This unique program is designed to enhance the opportunity for foster youth to achieve educational success at college in a year-round, on-campus environment. Tickets for the Gala are $100 each with 60% of the proceeds going to the STEPS scholarship fund.

In addition to the awards ceremony honoring the Governor’s many contributions to our region, the nights festivities will include a cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner, and dessert. For your listening and dancing pleasure, live entertainment will be provided throughout the evening by EnerJazz, an 18-piece swing band.  The Gala is open to businesses, friends of the College, and members of the community.
