Peak Pitch Vermont invites entrepreneurs to tune their skis and boards - and hone their pitch!

FreshTracks Capital announces the return of Peak Pitch Vermont on March 3rd.  Now in its sixth year, Peak Pitch gives entrepreneurs and investors an exciting opportunity to network on the slopes of the Bolton Valley Resort.  Peak Pitch brings entrepreneurs and investors together for a unique version of the classic "elevator
pitch." In the traditional elevator pitch, entrepreneurs take advantage of an unexpected opportunity to share an elevator ride with a potential investor and present their business idea.  At Peak Pitch, a shared chairlift ride gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business plans to a variety of venture capitalists, angel investors, commercial lenders, and other entrepreneurial advisors as they ride up the mountain on a chair lift.

Peak Pitch combines business networking and skiing in an informal setting while providing the opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors to connect with the resources they need to grow their businesses.  "Last year we had a great turnout for a day of skiing, fundraising and networking," said Cairn Cross, Co-Founder and Managing Director at FreshTracks Capital. "The Bolton Valley location was perfect, allowing entrepreneurs to pair off with an investor at the base of the Timberline Lift, pitch their business plan on the ride up, then take a quick run back down to the base for another lap. Many of the attendees have said that this is their 'best' day of work of the year, and that they have made invaluable business connections by participating in Peak Pitch."

FreshTracks Capital and Peak Pitch Vermont are pleased to announce that Gregg Fairbrothers, Adjunct Professor of Business Administration at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business, will be the keynote speaker this year.  The Director of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network and Chairman of the Dartmouth Regional Tech Center, Gregg will share his knowledge and experiences in the startup business world, the successes and challenges met by the entrepreneur, and the region's economy and itsfuture.

The Peak Pitch '10 program will include two events to support the entrepreneurial communities of New York and Vermont; March 3 at Bolton Valley, VT (hosted by FreshTracks Capital) and March 12 at Hunter Mountain, NY (hosted by High Peaks Venture Partners).
