Common Good Vermont is pleased to announce Vermont’s 13th Annual Nonprofit Legislative Day on March 22, 2018, from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, at the Vermont State House in Montpelier, Vermont.
Nonprofit leaders and supporters from across the state will join together at the State House to advocate for and raise awareness about the crucial role nonprofits play in supporting communities, strengthening our economy, and making Vermont a better place to live.
Legislative Day provides opportunities for nonprofit leaders and staff to learn, network, and become informed about current legislative proposals. The day will also be a chance to interact with lawmakers and state leaders and educate them about the strength and value of Vermont’s nonprofit sector and why our work matters. Participants will learn advocacy best practices from experienced lobbyists, legislators, and each other.
The morning session includes an update on state legislative issues and a panel on the impact of federal policy and budget on Vermont. In the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to meet legislators, attend committee meetings, sign-up for advocacy training or a tour of the State House.
Common Good Vermont serves as the “go-to” resource for all of Vermont’s mission-driven organizations to share resources, gain skills, and build partnerships.
