Roundtable discussion series for small business owners

Champlain Valley SCORE announced the schedule for its Roundtable Discussion Series for Fall 2010 and Spring 2011. The Roundtable Discussions will be held in Burlington on the first Tuesday of each month, starting in September. The discussions are targeted to the small business owner and will cover a range of topics including developing a brand, designing a business model, finding financing, using social media, and practicing your elevator pitch. Local business experts will lead the discussions.

The series is free and will be held at Office Squared, 106 Main Street, in Burlington, from 5:30 to 7 pm. Participants may register online at www.score284.org or at officesquaredvt.com. For more information, call 802-951-6762.

“The last series of our Roundtable Discussions were quite successful,” said Jerry Johnson, Chairperson of Champlain Valley SCORE. “The positive feedback we received from participants indicated a need and a desire for more. The topics developed for the upcoming series is in direct response to that feedback.”

Champlain Valley SCORE is an all-volunteer organization serving Chittenden, Franklin, Grand Isle, Addison and Rutland counties. Counselors with extensive business experience provide free and confidential counseling for new and existing businesses and present workshops covering a wide-range of topics.
