Leveraging the Vermont Brand
“Leveraging the Vermont Brand” Presented by NEK Tourism and Marketing Partners
LYNDON CENTER, VT. – Christine Werneke, Vermont’s chief marketing officer, will present the results of the Vermont Branding Study at Lyndon State College Mon., Sept. 13. The presentation is made in conjunction with IWoW (the Incubator without Walls) at Lyndon, Northeast Kingdom Travel and Tourism Association and the Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce.
Werneke, in conjunction with the Department of Tourism and Marketing and the Vermont Ski Areas Association, recently completed the research project to study perceptions about Vermont and how they affect decision making for those choosing a vacation destination.
“This is the first time the state has conducted a quantitative brand study looking at Vermont’s brand from the perspective of not just visitors but nonvisitors as well,” Werneke said. “The goal is to better understand Vermont’s unique strengths and identify opportunities for market growth.”
Two presentations will be held in the Northeast Kingdom on September 13th. The first will be in Newport at The Gateway Center from 9 to 11 a.m. and later at Lyndon State College. The Lyndon presentation will take place in the Academic and Student Activities Building, room 100, from 2 to 4 p.m. Registration for the event is required at https://secure.vermont.gov/ACCD/eventreg/. The event is free and open to the public.
