VMEC Announces "Advanced Topics in Lean - Fall 2009 Series" of Workshops with Noted Experts
Randolph Center, Vermont – The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) has announced an Advanced Topics in "Lean" Series of training opportunities with four renowned "Lean" experts as part of its Fall 2009 training schedule.
Included in the Advanced Topics in Lean - Fall 2009 Series are: Employee Ideas: Surviving the Recession and Coming Out Stronger on September 16th in Colchester by Dr. Alan G Robinson, an award-winning author and international expert on Employe Idea Systems; Mistake-Proofing by Dr. John Grout, a Shingo Prize winning expert on the problems of human error, on September 16th in Springfield and 17th in Burlington; Lean Leadership: Standard Work for Supervisors, Managers and Executives by Melissa Sawin, former Director for Continuous Improvement at Reviva in Minnesota, on October 1st in Burlington and 2nd in Springfield; and Virtual Pull Systems with Don Guild, founder of Synchronous Management in 1986 to focus on Lean techniques in purchasing, manufacturing and distribution, on October 15th in Colchester.

All workshops are $295 per person; but through a working partnership with the Vermont Training Program of the Department of Economic Development, VMEC is pleased to offer a $145 discount, reducing the registration fee to $150 per person for Vermont companies from industries that include: Manufacturing, Healthcare, Telecom, Information Technology, and Environmental.
