52nd ANNUAL STOWE ANTIQUE AND CLASSIC CAR MEET CELEBRATES MOTOR VEHICLE HISTORY
Nichols Field, Route 100 South of Stowe Village, Stowe Vermont
August 7th, 8th, & 9th 2009
The Vermont Auto Enthusiasts celebrate 52 years of Vermont's largest and longest running Antique and Classic Car Meet this weekend in Stowe by showcasing antique and classic motor vehicles of every description. This year's event will feature antique cars and trucks, classics, muscle cars, street rods, military vehicles, motorcycles and a special display of pre 1916 "Brass Era" vehicles. The three-day Meet kicks off Friday, August 7th with a field full of antique vehicles and a huge automotive flea market and car corral, which will be in full swing all three days of the show.
Saturday features fashion judging in the morning followed by the traditional parade of Show vehicles through the streets of Stowe beginning at 3:30. The evening features '50s and '60s cars lining Main Street in Stowe Village for a good old Rock & Roll Street Dance.
On Sunday, all vehicles will be on Nichols Field for the judges to inspect and choose the top three for each of the 48 classes. Early afternoon will see the presentation of awards for all classes plus special awards for President's Choice, Best of Show, Canadian Award, and more.
Show hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is only $10 per person; seniors 60 and over only $8, and children 12 and under are free.
