FAST tax sites available through March and April United Way of Chittenden County’s Working Bridges Program recently announced a new opportunity for preparing federal and state tax returns at FAST Tax Sites, where trained volunteers will be on site to assist and answer questions as individuals prepare their own returns via dedicated computers. Anyone with an income less than $57,000 is eligible for this free service. FAST sites are a walk-in service and returns are prepared on a first-come, first-served basis at the following locations: Community Recovery Partnership Meeting for Communities of Barre City, Barre Town, Berlin, Plainfield, Marshfield and Montpelier Start: 1:00 pm One of a series of local meetings in areas that experienced flood damage during 2011, the Barre meeting will focus on Barre City, Barre Town, Berlin, Plainfield, Marshfield, and Montpelier. This local visit is part of the statewide Community Recovery Partnership initiative launched by Governor Peter Shumlin and is designed to identify local needs and connect communities with the support and resources they will need for both short and long-term recovery.
