Berlin. Vt – Central Vermont Medical Center’s Rehab Services, in conjunction with Onion River Sports, will offer a Free Running Clinic for the community on Saturday, July 25 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Tom Vilsack has declared the first week of August National Farmers’ Market week in honor of farmers markets’ impact on health, communities, and the local economy. This year, the center is spotlighting the work of its own researchers and graduate students each Friday. These are informal events that start promptly at noon at Farrell Hall on UVM's Trinity Campus, 210 Colchester Avenue, Burlington, Vt. Light refreshments are provided and the series is free and open to the public. Presenters speak for about 15-20 minutes followed by questions and discussion. (all day)

Time is running out to register for the 21st Annual North Country Hospital Health Care Careers Scholarship Fund Benefit Golf Tournament. This year, the fun-filled event will be held on Sunday, August 30 at the Newport Country Club. Eighteen holes of competitive golf, dinner, door prizes and many other fun events are scheduled.
